Update 9/14
Hi Parents!
Tonight's homework is page 47, which focuses on subtraction with regrouping. This should be building on last year's skills, but many of our students had a some difficulty with regrouping, so if you can, please take a few minutes to check over your child's work and, if necessary, give a bit more guidance..
Also, graded mid-chapter quizzes were sent home today. These provide a great "dipstick" for gauging how well your child understood the first half of the chapter. Students are highly encouraged to make corrections to this test and return them for half credit. Remember, we have our Chapter 1 math test next Tuesday.
Tomorrow, students will get a chance to preview our Scholastic Book Fair, hosted by the PTO. Next week, students will be allowed to visit the book fair during the morning and during recess to make book purchases. Be on the lookout for those wishlists tomorrow afternoon :-)
Finally, our PTO fundraiser is being held tonight at the Jacksonville Chic-Fil-A (near Target). If you can, please drop by to have dinner with our school friends and help out our awesome PTO.
