Update 1/9
Hi Parents!
Welcome back to school...finally! Tonight's homework is page 245. Students are finding quotients using the partial quotients strategy. If you need a little help, here's a great video that explains how it's done:
Tomorrow will be our last lesson from the 2nd part of Chapter 4. We'll have a practice test on Thursday, and will have the Chapter 4 (part b) test on Friday. The test will only cover sections 4.7, 4.8, and 4.12, so please encourage your child to use Think Central to watch the videos and practice solving problems from these sections.
This week in Reading, we'll be working on comparing and contrasting two different sources of information on the Civil Rights Movement. In writing, we'll be beginning to put together our 5 paragraph reptile report. In Science, students are beginning a study of the many forms of energy, and in Social Studies, students are reviewing the landforms in the United States and will start learning all about the Northeast region.
Have a wonderful evening!
